We wondered why most natural skincare products are in plastic packaging, so we took on the challenge to create an all natural product from top to bottom. LO Amsterdam.. Of course we’re based in Amsterdam! Also all our products are made here, in our hometown.

Due to our all-natural and minimal waste policy, we haven’t found a way to offer affordable, easy sample packaging. We’re definitely working on this.

+ How is LO developed?
Through experience we learned we had to control every step of the process. It’s the only way we can guarantee the quality LO stands for. We formulate and produce all products in house.
+ How is LO made?
All products are freshly made in Amsterdam and we’re always present at the production of our products. Every LO product is made in a small batch to ensure freshness.
+ How is LO tested?
From concept to production the whole process took three years of testing, developing, and testing again. Not on animals of course. We tested with an extensive panel of highly critical friends and family. Who all hope you love LO lip care as much as we do!

+ How long can I use my product?
For all care products the clock starts ticking when you open it. Every care or makeup product sold in Europe has the period after opening (PAO) symbol – a number followed by an M and an open jar symbol – on it. The letter M stands for the Latin word month and the number refers to how many months. For best results we recommend you use our lip products within one year of opening.
+ Do you use preservatives?
No. We don’t. How is this possible? Let us explain. When you blend with fresh natural waxes, oils and butters, no preservatives are needed. Cosmetic products with water in them need preservatives to stop bacteria from growing. We don’t have water in our products.
+ Are your ingredients 100% natural?
Yes! You eat what you put on your lips, that’s why we use the finest natural and beneficial ingredients we can find. Our ingredients are carefully selected for their unique properties and that’s why we can guarantee the five qualities LO lip care stands for.
+ Are your ingredients organic?
While all of our products are 100% natural, LO is not certified organic by a certification board. We decided against certification because it dramatically reduces the amount of active ingredients available to use. LO chooses ingredients that work.
+ Does LO use silicones or parabens?
LO lip care products are FREE FROM any unnatural ingredients. This includes artificial chemicals, fragrances, preservative, colorants, petrochemicals, phthalates, silicones, DEA, TEA, sulphates or parabens.
+ My product changed texture.. What should I do?
LO lip care is temperature sensitive. This means, that when the product is subjected to heat or cold it will change its texture (not its efficiency!). Our products are formulated at room temperature and will restore to their normal state when back in room temperature.
+ How often can I use LO lip care?
As often as you’d like. Please know: lips can not get addicted to products. People can, lips can’t*. They can however remain dry and irritated by the use of products containing irritating ingredients like synthetic preservatives or fragrances. Even natural products can trigger these irritating reactions. You might have sensitivity to an ingredient that’s causing the reaction. When that happens, it’s time to swap for the next. Find what works for you.
While it’s true that the use of (too much) care product can make your skin lazy in producing its and moisturising with those own oils, and thus leave a dependency on your care regime. This addictive dependency doesn’t apply to lips. Why? Because lips, unlike normal skin, aren’t able to produce these oils to begin with. Lips lack sweat glands, the ones that produce your skin’s natural oils.
+ I suffer from dry, chapped lips, what should I do?
Read the previous question first and then check out our CARE page to see what to look for in a lip care product. It’s always a good idea to drink enough water and eat foods that are full of essential fatty acids, like fish, nuts and oils.
+ Can I use LO on other parts of my body?
Sure you can. Our product can be used for a variety of uses:
- To help soften lines around the eyes;
- To give some glow on your cheek bows;
- To prevent dry skin; elbows, feet, nails, knuckles;
- Tame brows;
+ Which product is best for me?
LO lip care products all guarantee to repair, nourish hydrate, moisturise and protect: the five qualities we believe every lip product should possess. But in the subjective matters of taste, people have wildly different opinions, so our products differ in texture, scent, taste and finish due to their individual ingredients. We tried to create a product for everyone. Check out the notes at the bottom of our product pages for their individual characteristics.
+ How should I store my LO lip care?
To maintain the freshness and quality of your product we recommend storing it away from direct sunlight. There is no need to keep your product in the fridge. Avoid using your product with dirty wet hands.
+ How long will it take me to use one product?
It differs from person to person but it will take approximately 6 months.
+ Are your products suitable for vegans? + Are your products gluten free?
We do our best to source ingredients that are able to provide a certificate of being gluten free. However, for customers with gluten sensitivities we cannot guarantee that the raw materials and ingredients we use are completely gluten free.
+ What is the current status of my order?
Once you have placed your order, you will receive a confirmation by email. We will then start to process your order as fast as possible.
Orders placed on Monday to Friday are delivered to the post office within 24 hours.
When your package is scanned at the post office, you will receive an email with the tracking information. You can use this information to track the shipment of your order until it is delivered.

We offer worldwide free shipping on orders over €45. For all shipping costs click here.
Due to the high costs we don’t offer express shipping. Let us know if you want this option and we’ll work on that.
+ What is the delivery time?
Orders placed on Monday to Friday are shipped within 24 hours. Delivery time depends on the country you are ordering from.
NL: 1-2 working days
EU: 2-5 working days
WORLDWIDE: 5-15 working days

+ Do I have to pay customs duties or import duties?
If you place an order outside the EU or the United States, you may have to pay customs duties. Countries within the EU and the United States are free of customs duties.
+ I have entered an incorrect delivery address, what should I do?
Please contact our customer service as soon as possible. We will do our best to solve this for you. Keep in mind that it’s not always possible to change an address.
+ Can I send my order as a gift?
Sure you can! Let us know in the order notes on the checkout page. Comment ‘Gift’ and your message and we will include a handwritten note.
+ What payment methods do you provide?
We accept the following payment methods on this website: iDeal, Mastercard, Visa, Maestro, Giropay, Bancontact and Sofort.
+ What is your return policy?
We want you to be 100% happy with your order. Due to our natural packaging, we’re can only accept returns in their original unopened shipping packaging. To refund your purchase, please contact us with your order number at email@example.com.
+ How can I cancel my order?
We work with an automated system, which enables fast shipment orders. Unfortunately, this also makes it impossible to cancel your order. Carefully check your order before the checkout.
+ My product is damaged, what should I do?
If your product is damaged, let us know within 24 hours upon receiving your order. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will look into it as soon as possible. Please include your order reference.
+ I received the wrong product, what now?
