“I’VE ALWAYS ENJOYED HOSTING AND GOOD AESTHETICS. SETTING THE MOOD IS MY ART.”

February 22, 2023 by LO CARE

Anthea Bronwasser is one of our first LO Circle muses and has been a part of our LO team for years. From the moment we started working together we found a shared love for good food, music and self development.

Just two years ago she started Gaudy, a creative production studio that offers conceptual and tailor-made dinner parties. There she can fully express her creativity in creating the perfect mood for any hosting.

We talk about Gaudy, rituals, and Anthea gives us her best advise for hosting. Get to know Anthea.

You’ve been killing it with Gaudy lately, tell us what you’ve been up to and how Gaudy came to be

I’ve always enjoyed hosting people and good aesthetics. Setting the mood is my art. During COVID I had more spare time, I was cooking a lot and hosting more and more dinner parties. That was the moment I realized how to make it my job.

Could you share your best tips for hosting a dinner?
……
……
……

What’s your go to dinner recipe
Even now that I’m low on carbs: orecchiette with kale, fennel & fresh sausage. A recipe that I’m making very often when we have friends over for dinner.

What’s always in your fridge?
A bottle of San Pellegrino sparkling water and olives. If you’re into olives, then this is your best snack ever for all the salty, soury cravings. Besides that they are super healthy and contain vitamin E (a powerful antioxidant), copper, iron, calcium and sodium.

What is your skincare philosophy?
At the moment I’m busy with a six-step Korean skincare routine which really works for me since I have dry skin. I’m a big fan of hydration, the more the better.

How do you start your day?
………..
………..

Do you have any morning rituals?
A glass of water followed by tea, meditation, in my fit days a work-out, a bath with my boyfriend and my morning skincare.

How do you end your day?
With a good meal, movie and book.

Do you have any evening rituals?
A good movie, again my evening skincare and I recently started to read in bed before sleep, which I really enjoy nowadays.

Do you have a favourite ritual?
My mornings are my favorite rituals. Starting your day the best as you can.

Wellness Hack
2,5L of water and be happy.

Astrology Sign
Pisces

Does it suit you?
Yes, I’m sensitive, empathic and very dreamy. My pattern, which I’d like to read every morning, is always so accurate. But I don’t know if that’s something you just want to read at that point or if it’s really figured out for you. Still doubting that.

Favourite Tune
A bit cheesy, but Fever – Peggy Lee always gets me into the mood. Or The Look – Metronomy, a favorite song of my boyfriend & I.

Three products can you not live without
Moisturizer(!), lip liner, my LO tint and a moisturizing lip balm. That’s four, but I’m quite a lip person. I never leave the house with a good moist & lip.

Something you’ve given up for the environment
Saying no to H&M and yes to vintage.

What do you always keep on your nightstand?
A glass of water and a book I’m currently reading.

Reading right now
The Artist’s way by Julia Cameron. A classic about creative flow which offers techniques to open up opportunities for growth and self-discovery. I just started reading it and really enjoy it so far.
